This album, In Ghost Colours has been one of our guilty pleasures lately. We can't even really rationalize why it has to be guilty particularly, --it's well constructed. Even though some of the 90's house-vocal samples threw us at first, we've still had it firmly on our iPod since its release.

Tafra is one of those artists whose songs are very simple, yet very charming. He's not the world's strongest singer, and his beats aren't really the fattest, heaviest things you've ever heard, but you can't help but buy into his carefree approach. It's very basement producer, and we love it.

We're being very brave by posting this updated photo of The B-52s now. Ageing is never fun. Although I know of some hair commercials with style-goddess Diane Keaton that would tell us different.

Arguably you could say that they still do seem to have their fingers on the pulse of things though, calling on people like CSS and Peaches to remix their latest single "Funplex". They also have seemed to have hired a Photoshop retoucher who's day job is working as an animator on Horton Hears a Who! 2.

RETROREPOST: Siouxsie & The Banshees - Hong Kong Garden

This song was written about an actual Chinese restaurant called The Hong Kong Garden that Siouxsie used to eat at.

Its a sort of tribute track to the restaurant who put up with being constantly harrassed by the skinheads, who Siouxsie fustratingly felt she couldn't stop. It's also a great song.
